The Tejas food service consumes over 50% of our man-hours and 30% of our annual budget. Feeding our guests is what we do most...and we love it. We strive to provide our guests with the best quality food service possible.
OUR FOOD SERVICE CREW
One of the best things about Tejas is the food. The cooks are incredible. They take the very basics, apply their personal touch, and create meals that thousands of people look forward to every year. Their commitment to Tejas is amazing.
During the retreat season, we hire local high school and college students as our kitchen support staff to help with the serving, cleaning, and cooking. In the summer, the Summer Ministry Team handles the support staff duties.
SPECIAL REQUESTS
We plan menus based on the age and type of group, i.e. children, youth, ladies, men, families, etc. Please contact the main office if you have a special menu or diet request.
