This is a way for you to get away from the everyday schedule and enjoy Tejas with us. It is an opportunity for individuals and families to stay at Tejas on their own at a very reduced rate.

WHAT AND WHEN

In most circumstances, get-a-ways can use any room that is not being used by retreat group guests.

RETREAT SEASON (mid August to June)

Midweek Get-a-way (Monday night - Thursday night): call us to make sure a room is available and to receive additional information.

Weekend Get-a-ways (Friday night & Saturday night): we have an email distribution list that is sent out by the Thursday just before the weekend giving details on the rooms available for get-a-way guests. The first individuals to respond to the email, will be given the reservation. Sign up here.

SUMMER CAMP SEASON (June to Mid August)

We cannot accommodate getaway guests during the summer.

 

COST

The cost of one room for one night is from $50 to $80 depending on the day and season. These prices do not include meals.


MEALS

Tejas meals will not be prepared for our get-a-way guests only. Tejas meals will be available to our get-a-way guests only if meals are being served in the dining hall to our group guests. Dining hall meals are $8 per adult per meal and $4 per child under 14 per meal. Meals are free for children 3 years old and younger. These meals are optional for any get-a-way guest.

 

There are several places to eat in both Giddings (6 miles away) and La Grange (18 miles away).

 

ACTIVITIES

All of our recreation facilities and activities that do not require assistance from the Tejas staff will be available. Activities that require Tejas Staff include the climbing wall, hayrides, and the challenge course. If a group is using the climbing wall, get-a-way guests are welcome to join. OTHER IMPORTANT INFO

Any person 17 years or younger using the boats or swimming pool must be supervised by a parent. All persons using the boats must wear a life jacket.

Conference rooms will not be available for get-a-way guests unless paid for separately.
